Teams will be selected during the first week of the season. Teams are decided by random drawing. Teams stay paired for the entire season. After teams are selected, each team will play the other teams in the league and acquire points for winning. One win equals one point toward their regular season record. After the third week, teams will be seeded and playoff bracket will be determined for week 4 based on the number of points accumulated throughout that season. Week 4 is championship week. Seeding brackets are determined after week 3. The championship bracket is a double elimination style tournament. Seasons
After the season ends and championship team determined, the next season will be scheduled. If the league can remain competitive, the championship team may stay together and the remaining teams will be determined through random draw.
Game Format
Cricket – we play numbers 20 through 15 and Bull’s Eye. Targets are closed by hitting three of each. No order, so lucky misses count (slop / splash). The first team to complete all numbers and Bull’s Eyes wins. The winning team will receive one point toward their regular season record.
-
Winning the Hammer
To determine who throws second and has the ability to force over time, one member for each team will throw 1 dart. The closest to the bulls eye wins "The Hammer" meaning you start second and can force over time.
-
Forcing Over Time
If the winning team closes everything and opened the round and the game is close enough for the second team to tie, they are entitled to one rebuttal throw. This must be thrown by one player of the trailing team and done so in turn. This team can only tie and force an overtime round. If that team forces overtime, the next team to cancel the Bull’s Eyes (3) wins no rebuttals in overtime.
Player Substitutions
Once players have paid their league fee they are committed to playing in the 4 week season. Should they not be able to attend, that player or their teammate is responsible for finding a replacement player to fill in. Subs are not allowed week 1 (Team Drawing) or 4 (Championship Week.)
